    Abstract

    Hydroponics represent to growth technology of crop in case of nutrient providing all elements of nutrient needed to optimum growth of crop with or without usage a media like sand, gravel, sawdust, coconut peat, etc., to provide mechanic support. Ratio K/N was importance to be paid attention to crop requirement on nutrient fulfilled well balanced. High ratio value of K / N can cause pursuing the growth of crop because pursuing of absorption of other macro element or nutrient, so that cause decrease in production. This research on Red Pepper fruit vegetable (Capsicum annum) was conducted on May up to Juli 2007 in Plastic House and Laboratory of Soil Department of Agriculture Faculty of East Java UPN " Veteran", Surabaya. Research compiled in Random Factorial Design, with three replications . The first factor is ratio of K / N with three with different concentration, those are 1.4, 1.6 and 1.8 from standard of N-Total 250 ppm. The second is the kinds of substrates those are: Sawdust, kapok seed and sand. Research indicates that Growth of Pepper on ratio of nutrient K / N 1.6 with media kapok seed was better than others ratio of nutrient K / N with sand media or Sawdust. The weight of Pepper was better than giving of nutrient with ratio of K / N 1.6 with media kapok seed, compared to 1.4 and 1.8 ratio of K/N. Key word : Substrat, Hidroponik, Ratio K/N
