    National fertilizer needs each year has increased while the availability of raw materials resulting in decreased availability of reduced fertilizer and fertilizer prices rose. This phenomenon is quite a big impact on the development of agricultural sector, especially the increase of agricultural production and farmers' welfare. In order to overcome problems of shortages of fertilizer and high fertilizer prices have done studies of other raw material resources so as to overcome the shortages of fertilizer and high fertilizer prices. Indonesia has many kinds of plants that can be used as alternative raw material liquid and solid fertilizer production. several types of plants that can be used as alternative raw material production of fertilizer is "Plants and Helianthus Muntingia CL A. L. Both types of these plants on the leaves / twigs contain various kinds of ions such as ion Nitrogen (N), Phosphorous (P), Potassium (K), Magnesium (Mg) and calcium (Ca) so that this plant can be used as fertilizer. At this time the plant leaves has been used as a leaf compost with composting process, the time it takes approximately 20-30 days and the composting process will occur due to loss of various types of ions in leaf soluble ions in water and waste, in addition to transport of ions in the media require dense liquid medium for entry into the plant. In this study, plant leaf composting process but do not do the extraction and fermentation processes that run simultaneously. Solvent extraction process carried out with water, acid and sodium phosphate hipophosphate with a certain concentration, while the process of fermentation without addition of microorganisms known as "Self Fermentation." Extraction and fermentation process can accelerate the acquisition of fertilizers and facilitate the transport of ions in plants. The purpose of this study is to assess the type of fertilizer production of alternative materials, type and concentration of solvent, extraction time and fermentation, and leaf weight ratio and the best solvent and the quality of fertilizers produced. Based on the research, known both these plants can be used as raw material for fertilizer, the best type of solvent that is sodium hipophospahte with 0.75% concentration, extraction and fermentation time of 50 days and the quality of the resulting liquid fertilizer for crop plants Muntingia CL: ion N: 0 , 29%, PO4: 0.37%, K: 0.55%, Mg: 0.11% and Ca: 0.025%, while for the plant Helianthus A. L ion N: 0.36%, PO4: 0.545%, K: 0.79%, Mg: 0.075% and Ca: 0.028% Keywords: Muntingia CL, Helianthus AL, Fertilizer, Extraction and Fermentation.
