    Abstract

    The important thing in building design and plan to restraint flood is rain-fall distribution. All those values can be used to build plans. The objective of this study is determining appropriate pattern of rain-fall distribution, base on hourly rain-fall data of station Wagir, Tangkil, Dampit, Poncokusumo, Sengguruh and Pujon which located in Brantas Hulu Catchment Area, Malang. Rain-fall distribution pattern at return period of 5 years, 25 years, 50 years and 100 years were obtained by calculating and analyzing statically with Regression analyze method using SPSS 10.00 for Windows and Minitab 11.00 for Windows. The appropriate result of the regression analysis is the pattern of rain-fall distribution with dominant hourly rain-fall in 6 hours duration. The appropriate model is Transformation Model (t = logten x ) in Linier type. The formulas for some certain return periods are: return period of 5 years, R = 33,8 – 49,6 t with R2 = 0,708 and return period of 25 years. R = 48,9 – 54,3 t with R2 = 0,845.
