    Abstract

    ABSTRACT One of the important shallot diseases causing great loss up to 50% in several main shallot fields is moler caused by Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cepae. Cultivar which resistant to F. oxysporum f.sp. cepae and produce lots of bulb still unkwon, so that research as effort to find resistant cultivar is necessary. This research is a form of field-scale research study of character of plant resistance. The study was done by planting six shallot cultivars on sand land in Bantul and on paddy field in Nganjuk in the rainy season and dry season. In this study conducted in a natural inoculation.The research result shows the longest incubation periode, the lowest average intensity and the lowest infection rate of moler disease happens on Tiron cultivar. Tiron cultivar is rather resistant, Yellow and Bima cultivars are rather susceptible, while Blue, Pilip and Bauji cultivars are susceptible to F. oxysporum f.sp. cepae which caused moler disease.
