Abstract
The objective of ihis research was to characlerize disease severity of purple blolch on several wiather conditions and to 'determine spraying interval of fungicide based on economic return of shaH0t production in Malang, East Java. Disease severity data on severat weather conditions was obtained from field experiments and IiJeralure. Disease inoculalion was nalurally occured with fungicide application 5, 7, 10, and 15-day interval and without fungicide. Randomized block design with four replications was used in thls study. Compilation data was analised to make regression model in forcasting long-pattern disease severity. Probability value,of disease severily was used lo calculate expected net return. The result d this study showed lhat the highest economic return was obtained from fungicide appllcalion ,with interval spraying 5-day,that is, Rp. 25.664.000,- per ha. Keywords : Expected net retum.
