      Abstract

      Online business has become a strong market and has a high potential that will last a long time. Social media as a marketing medium and providing more personalized content needed than other available media. Promotion through social networks have a number of advantages for the owner of the brand, among others, more efficient and cost effective. purpose of the study was to determine the effectiveness of social media as a promotional tool Garlic Store (case study on the active member Garlic Store). This study used qualitative methods. informants or research subject is an active member Garlick Fashion Store last a minimum of 1 month and shopkeepers Garlick Fashion Store. The analysis technique used is in-depth interview. The results of this study are selling Garlick Store mostly done by using social media such as facebook, twitter, websites, instagram. promotion through social media Garlick Store form a separate team for the smooth operation of the promotion. Promotion through social media can be done all the time or at certain moments. The cost of the promotion through social media has a budget that is quite different from conventional promotion. The impact can be obtained by Garlick Store using social media as a medium to promote such market is becoming increasingly widespread, easier information published.
