    Didik Nini Thowok is a traditional dancer from Temanggung, Central Java whose one of his works Dwimuka dance . His work in the world of dance helped preserve traditional Indonesian dances to go international. Didik Nini Thowok’s life story is worth to be documented in an autobiographical book that contains all the authentic data, so that Indonesian peolpe became aware of his existence. The method of collecting data required is the observation , interviews , and documentation. All the data are collected and then prepared in accordance his life story . The making of the book was accompanied by a photo as evidence of authentic and illustrations to explain the form of visual information . The illustration also has function as a substitute for information that is difficult to translate in verbal form, and also attracts the interest in reading. The making of autobiography can foster the understanding about Didik Nini Thowok is one of the nation’s assets that worthy to be publicized its existence in the world of dance. The benefits of autobiography are a form of attention, support, and appreciation of the work and creativity of Indonesian artists, Indonesian artist’s profiles documentation, the existence of the next generation of artists who continued effort in maintaining and preserving the art and culture of Indonesia.
