      The conversion of coal fly ash to be zeolite is an alternative method of the fly ash making use. In this research, the zeolite activation have been successfully conducted by the treatment of alkaline hydrothermal by mixing 50 gr of fly ash and 500 ml of 3 N NaOH solution. The zeolite activation process was cone with the times variation of 6 – 22 hours and temperatures of 80°C – 160°C with the rapid stirring of 300 rpm. The crystal yield obtained was dried into oven with temperature of 110°C for ± 24 hours. The result of this research indicated that the most zeolite weight yield formation was in 160°C and in activation time of 22 hours namely 38.56 gr. The resulting synthetic zeolite further was tested for the Calcium Bonding Capacity (CBC), by mixing 250 ml of CaCl2 solution and 0.5 gr of zeolite. From the test results were achieved in condition of 160°C and 22 hours the best KPK value bonding was 406,980 meq/100 gr, this case indicated that the obtained result was quite fine.
