Abstract
Beside Mercury (Hg), Plumbum (Pb) is also a kind of heavy metal contaminant with high danger level. It therefore needs to limit the maximum content of heavy metal in any waste water. Biosorption is an absorption process of metal ion by any dead microorganism. The absorption in this research used bacteria Phanerochaete Chrisosporium to absorp the ion of heavy metal (Pb). It was done by observing various concentrate of biomassa : 1; 1,5; 2; 2,5; 3 (gr/l) and a variety of mixing velocity : 50; 100; 150; 200; 250 (rpm). The best result was reached at the concentrate of biomassa 3 mgr/l and the mixing velocity of 200 rpm. The amount of absorbed Plumbun (Pb) was 66, 79 % (the previous content of Plumbum in liquid waste was 23,19 mg/l, and decreased to 7,7 mg/l)
