      Abstract

      Purpose of this study was to determine the meaning contained in the lyrics of the song "Hamil Duluan" popularized by Tuty Wibowo. Lyrics of the song banned by KPID reap as it is considered contrary to the Law on Broadcasting and the Broadcasting Code of Conduct and Standards Release Program. So the song "Hamil Duluan" banned screenings and broadcast, both radio and television. This study uses a semiotic theory Ferdinant De Saussure. In this semiotic theory is divided into two parts, namely markers (signifier) and the sign (signified). Marker is seen as a form or physical form can be identified by words or words contained in the song "Hamil Duluan", is being seen as a sign of meaning are revealed through the concept, function or value contained within the lyrics of the song "Hamil Duluan". Semiotics of Saussure's existence is the relation between signifier and signified by signification. Semiotics is the significance of studying the system of signs that mark in relation elements of a system based on certain rules. By using a significance that is used to determine the meaning of the lyrics of the song "Hamil Duluan" is. The method used is a qualitative method. Type of data used in this study is the primary data, which data has taken directly from the lyrics of the song "Hamil Duluan". Data analysis techniques used in this study researchers concluded that depicted a variety of meanings in the lyrics of the song. From the results it can be seen that the meaning of the lyrics to "Hamil Duluan" tells the social reality, resulting in distortion of social values that Moral Norms, Religious Norms and Law Norms.
