Abstract
The purpose of this study is to understand the communication pattern between teacher and elementary student with down syndrom in order to improving academic achievements in GaluhHandayani Inclusive School Surabaya. Researcher used symbolic interactionism and communication patterns as the theoretical basis. However, researcher are more inclined to use the communication pattern. This type of research is descriptive study with qualitative analysis. Technique of collecting prime data is by deep interview. Based one the result of this study suggested that the communication patterns used by teacher to student is authoritative ( democratic ) communication pattern.
