      Abstract

      The research is based on the phenomenon of the many bands indipendent (indonesia) that exist today. Indipendent bands with much of that typically use television and radio as a medium to introduce himself to the community. The medium used different band indipendent much of bands. They use the media alternative band for existence. One of them by using the internet in this website YouTube. The method used in this study is a qualitative method that aims to explain phenomena that exist in society with deeply through deep data collection. This study uses purposive sampling for the selection of informants. This study focuses on the public perception of indipendent bands in use youtube as a medium for a existence. The results of this study, according to researchers, the public perceives that the judge indipendent Band YouTube and functional foods has a contributed to their development both in performing and music-making as a primary medium for a spreading the video to their existence.
