Abstract
In a production activity, to obtain an optimum result, all activities should be planned first production well, one of which is by way of scheduling or scheduling. Scheduling and work order in a job (job) is very important, with the scheduling assignment attempted to get a job on the machine, so there is no accumulation of job done on one machine simultaneously. PT. Tjokro Putra Perkasa is a company engaged in the manufacturing industry. Which manufactures mechanical parts based on order (job order) with various types. Problems faced by the company during this time was a delay in the completion of a product. This is because the company has been implementing the FCFS job scheduling system on a first come first served. In meeting the demand of consumers is less efficient because there are still some jobs that can not be completed within the time desired by the buyer (customer). The purpose of this research is to determine the proper gear production scheduling so as to minimize the makespan by using CDS (Campbell Dudeck Smith), Palmer and Dannenbring. The method of calculation turns out the actual company produces makespan scheduling for 317707 seconds. Several methods of production scheduling is proposed CDS method (Campbell Dudeck Smith) produces makespan 312213 seconds, Palmer method produces makespan 315437 seconds and Dannenbring method produces makespan 315437 seconds. By applying the proposed method, selected (Dudeck Campbell Smith), the production turnaround time is quicker with time savings of 5494 seconds ≈ 1.5 hours (or about 1.73%). Keywords: CDS, Palmer, Dannenbring, Job, Scheduling.
