    Abstract

Clove leaf oil from the distillation of the leaves and twigs brownish-black cloves and dirty. When viewed over the longer a major component of clove oil contains eugenol, which is about 58.69%. This condition is mainly caused by metal ions Mg, Fe, Mn, Pb, and Zn from leaves and refiners tool. These problems can be overcome by the refining process. This research aims to increase levels of eugenol clove leaf oil by adsorption process using zeolite. Stages ofzeolite research is already prepared then oven at a temperature of 120 °C before use. Enter as much clove oil into a 100 ml beaker and mixed with zeolite 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 grams a size of 100 mesh. Stir over time (60, 75, 90, 105, 120 minutes) speed of 100 rpm with a temperature of 60 ° C.The results are filtered so that the resulting residue and the filtrate. The filtrate contains eugenol reaction products were analyzed with Gas Chromatography. Based on available research on levels of eugenol maximum 89.94% weight of 25 grams zeolite with a 60 minute. Keywords: adsorption, eugenol, clove leaf oil, zeolite.
