      Abstract

      The purpose of this research is for knowing and explaining about the effectiveness of a messsage that has been shared by advertisement of Golkar Political Independence and Aburizal Bakrie by version “Sudah Melatih Ribuan Pelaku Usaha Kecil” from Television of JTV in Surabaya. The Direct Rating Method is using for measure the effectiveness of a message from a television advertisement. The purpose is for measure an attention, readthroughness, cognitive, affective, and behaviour. As high of rate that gotten, then that message of an advertisement would be effective. The research method that used is descriptive quantitative research. The population of this research were societies Surabaya city who aged 17 - 60 years who watch or see that advertisement. With assuming that the respondents understand what is being researched that in the next it will affect the accuracy of the data that resulted. The sampling technique in this study was using a non-probability sampling technique with accidental sampling type. Based on that sampling technique, the number of respondents was obtained as many as 100 people. Based on the analysis of the survey results that conducted by researcher about an effectiveness of advertisement Golkar Political Independence and Aburizal Bakrie, the over all is in less effecvtive results.
