Abstract
Santri’s Perception toward the Pesantren & Rock n’ Roll Season 3 Sinetron in SCTV (descriptive qualitative study about Surabaya’s santri perception toward the pesantren & rock n’ roll season 3 sinetron in SCTV) This research based on the number of sinetrons that take the religious theme, however it doesn’t brings the religion element insight. The Pesantren & Rock N’ Roll season 3 in SCTV is a sinetron that tell us about the pesantren’s life in modern ways. The theoretical framework has been used is the cultivation theory where the basic assumption stated that media exposure (TV in particular) could strengthen the public perception toward the social reality. Mostly, they react to everything they see in television. As the result, those individuals more like to copy from what the television has gave. Segmentation of this research is Santri who ever watched the Pesantren and Rock N’ Roll Season 3 in aged of 17-24 years old and located in Surabaya. The technique of data collection is the observation and in dept interview to the informan. Thus, the data analysis uses the descriptive analysis.
