Abstract
This research aims to find out how the meaning of the message on the woman's tattoo Tattoo users in the city of Surabaya. To address the above problems, the researchers devised a shape, the position and meaning of a message tattooed on a woman's tattoo users in the city of Surabaya. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were collected through interviews, literature study, observation, study documentation, and Internet searching. The subject of this research is a female user tattoo in the city of Surabaya. Informants in the study are determined by using purposive sampling technique and number five informants Technique of data analysis performed with the reduction of data, data presentation, data collection and evaluation. The conclusions from the results of this research show that there are internal factors to create tattoos tattoo users her body is because emotion, expression, a love of art, capture the special moments in their lives, looking for attention and as accesoris. While external factors users invited friends and tattoo is because the trend or fashion. The results of research on the meaning of a tattoo on a woman tattoo users pointed out that existing tattoos on body tattoo is the user as an expression of feeling, the expression of art and beauty, as identity,as the impingement problems at hand and tattoos as spirituality (faith) Keywords: tattoo, tattooed women, the meaning of a tattoo, religious tattoo trends, models, tattoos,
