Abstract

The promotion in the field of marketing communication is important to help to increase the product sales. This research describes about marketing communications planning strategy expecially for promotion activities in Koran Sindo Jatim for the future. The purpose to develop marketing communications strategies that have been done and to increase sales promotion. This research uses qualitative - descriptive methodology. Researcher describes marketing communications planning strategy’s of Koran Sindo Jatim. The way of used observation, depth interview and also focus group discussion (FGD). The results of this research, Koran Sindo Jatim used promotion mix the way of used sales operational to promote the product, personal selling through have a free Genie’s tabloid, direct marketing from newspaper agency and the advertising used event promotion off air to selling their products. The promotion planning strategy are to developing the promotion mix way of to create personal selling such as to buying Genie’s tabloid for free to get Koran Sindo Jatim, also makes use advertising on media and to developing event or publication on air and off air.
