Abstract
Parent and child communication must be built in harmony to instill in children a good education. Parents can always follow the development of their children and child will understand what the wishes of his parents. The role of parents is very important for children. Parents should direct their children into a positive thing. Emotional development of children is influenced by the pattern of communication in the family. Parental communication patterns in children, namely: Authoritarian, permissive, authoritative. This research is a descriptive study with qualitative data types. The technique used to collect the data source is in-depth interviews and the informant sampling using purposive sampling. Based on the analysis of data and discussion of results, it can be argued that there is predominantly the result of this study is to show that two out of three parents who give sense to their children about sexual education, while others embrace Authoritative and Authoritarian communication patterns.
