      Abstract

      This research is based development technologies increasingly extends to various areas to be entered into the territory of the modern boarding school. The purpose of this study is to investigate and understand of female student communications privacy settings on social media facebook activities in the region jombang modern boarding school. Connect with the Communication Privacy Management theory has 5 assumptions that is¸ Private Information, Private limitation , control and ownership, Rules Based Management System and Dialectics of Management. The method used qualitative research. As well as the researchers used in-depth interview techniques based on the guideline questions. The result of the study were female students also use the privacy settings of communication in social media activities on facebook. And according to the 5 basic assumptions Communivation Privacy Management Theory. Keywords : Privacy Settings Communication , Modern Islamic Boarding School , female students , Facebook .
