Abstract
In the present communication is one thing that is quite important to be able to interact with others . How to communicate is also relatively easier with new app that allows us to communicate one with the instant messaging app LINE . This study aimed to determine the level of satisfaction that adolescent Surabaya in using LINE . By way of doing this research uses a quantitative approach and the method used was a survey using descriptive analysis T-test to determine satisfaction with the saw gap (discrepancy) between the desired satisfaction (Gratifications Sought ) with satisfaction obtained (Gratifications Obtanined ) after using the instant messaging application LINE . Based on the results of the study showed that LINE gives satisfaction to the motives of information, personal identity motives, motives and the integration of social interaction and entertainment motives.
