      Abstract

      Intense competition in the industrial world increasingly spur manufacturing companies to continuously improve their products in terms of their quality , price , quantity of production , delivery on time , with a more realistic goal is to provide satisfaction to the customers . A real effort in the production of goods is to reduce the waste that has no added value in many ways , including the provision of raw materials , materials traffic , operator movement , the movement of the tool and the machine , wait for the process , rework and repair . The main idea is the achievement of overall production efficiency by reducing waste ( waste) . CV . RONA EMWE JAYA is a company engaged in the anufacturing industries that serve the manufacturing of furniture products . Manufacture of such products often delays materials from one work station to the next work station because in the process of distributing material from one work station to the next work station is still using manual labor and simple tools . Given this kind of method is used in which the concept of lean manufacturing is the lean production system that is constantly seeking suppression of waste by involving employees in the company . Therefore Lean Manufacturing approach is expected to resolve the existing problems in the CV . EMWE JAYA.Sehingga RONA can help companies overcome the existing problems in the company . The causes of waste that often occurs is Waiting for erratic weather factors and workers are a little slow in doing produksi.Defect because of the lack of workers' skills and accuracy in doing produksi.Unnecessary inventory due to the trouble in the engine that makes the buildup of material . Based on the results obtained it can be concluded for the technical response FMEA required by the following table : Waste waiting ( RPN = 360 ) , with the addition of the proposed repair station workers in a particular job in order to increase company productivity , defect Waste ( RPN = 228 ) , with proposed improvements election workers who have good skills for the field work and update the tool / machine in the process production , Waste unnecessary inventory ( RPN = 284 ) , with proposed improvements improve coordination among workers , more thoroughly in control of raw materials and machinery to be used .
