    Abstract

    Treatment of Sludge Wastewater Treatment PT.SIER by means of composting is one way biological treatment of organic waste . Vermikomposting system is a w ay to reduce the content of heavy metals contained in the sludge . This study aims to determine the effect vermikomposting systems in the composting process to C / N ratio and the content of Cr . Sewage sludge used was PT.SIER Wastewater Treatment mixed with leaf litter . This study used a variation of the addition of earthworms tail 15 , 20 tails , 25 heads , 30 tails . 35 tail and the length of time composting 7 days , 14 days , 21 days and 28 days . The results of the study on all treatments showed that the ratio of C / N and the content of chromium ( Cr ) has met the ISO standard is 10-20 for the C / N ratio and < 210 mg / kg for the content of chromium ( Cr ) . The optimum conditions allowance C / N ratio of 70.71 % and the allowance for chromium content ( Cr ) of 43.61 % in the reactor by the number of 30 individuals earthworms and composting age of 28 days .
