Abstract

The need information on the stock price for investors is increasing, it is because investors want to reduce losses, this study will use multiple linear regression analysis to determine the variable gross profit margin, return on asset, return on investment, return on equity, and earning per share influence partial and simultaneous effect on stock prices. The population in this study is a food and beverage company that is listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) year period 2008-2012 and there were 16 companies. But who made the sample in this research are 11 companies. While the determination of samples used purposive sampling technique. The data collection techniques used in this study documentation. Internal data food and beverage company to variables gross profit margin, return on asset, return on investment, return on equity, earning per share, and stock prices obtained through the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) year period 2008-2012. Based on the result of multiple regression analysis and hypothesis test can be seen that simultaneous gross profit margin, return on asset, return on investment, return on equity, and earning per share on stock prices. In the partial test result obtained the variable gross profit margin, return on assets, return on investment, dan return on equity significantly no effect on stock prices. While the earning per share significantly influence stock prices. Key words : gross profit margin, return on asset, return on investment, return on equity, earning per share, and stock price.
