Abstract

Dr. H. Moh. Anwar Regional General Hospital of Sumenep is a hospital that provides health service to public general public. This research fell in the descriptive analytical research with the purpose to evaluate medical trashes processing in Dr. H. Moh. Anwar Regional General Hospital of Sumenep by using interview, observation and by using questionnaire tool. In the temporary storage stage it has been made the separation between medical and non medical trashes. The collecting and carrying stages were carried out collectively by using the same equipment. The destroying of medical trashes was done in incinerator with combustion temperature of 1000°C for 4 hours. Residues/ashes as the combustion yield were put into a big drum and closed by layering them with cement. Should the hospital side or trashes processing responsible agency can fulfill the needs of plastic bag as trash bin lining or temporary trash storage available in every rooms.
