Abstract
Energy resource is really important for a country. Fossil energy resource still used as main resource energy but the availability of fossil energy resource is dwindling. Renewable energy is a solution as alternative energy but utilization of renewable energy still little. And one of renewable energy is biofuel. Biofuel made of bioethanol from fermentation. To recover bioethanol from broth fermentation, usually using multicomponent batch distillation. Multicomponent batch distillation is refining process based on the volatility. To support this, the research about modelling of multicomponent batch distillation of ethanol from broth fermentation. Then validating the result data of modelling with experimental data. Numerical solution used is ODE 45 on MATLAB which based Runge-Kutta method.Variation of reflux ratio can be done to study the effect of concentration in distillate every time. So, the optimum time can be known to obtain desired concentration of ethanol in distillate.Preliminary results of the simulation experiment has an error of 10%. For preliminary distilat etanol, amly alcohol and aceton vs time 10,20,30,40,50 and 60 minute for ((82,28%,92,37%,91,12%,93,25%,93,10% dan 92,99% distilat etanol), 0,001, 0,0012, 0,0014, 0,0015, 0,0010 dan 0,0005 amly alkohol) dan (0,001, 0,0007, 0,0005, 0,00051, 0,00051 dan 0,00051 aceton)
