Abstract
Purwa shadow puppets is one of the many local arts and culture into a unique identity that is closely attached to the Indonesian nation. As time, tradition and art of puppetry began to be abandoned by most of society. Punakawan including characterizations that are part of the puppet prototype which began to be forgotten in the minds of the public. Punakawan characterizations that are created by the nation's children and are not contained in the text of a story from India. Punakawan consisting of Semar, Bagong, Petruk, and Gareng is less famous with other heroic figures such as Ghatotkacha, Anoman, or superheroes of outstanding animation and comics. Moreover the loss of interest in teenagers to see a puppet performances make punakawan existence vanished . A media presentation of cultural content should be developed in order to generate interest teens to know and understand about Punakawan . Video gaming is a medium which has the advantage that it can interact directly with the user/player. Insertion of the local culture in a video game is a way to introduce adolescents to punakawan to get to know and understand Punakawan which is part of the local culture.
