Abstract
The purpose of the present study was examined empirically about college graduate‘s competency in term of behavioral aspects by the use of the contingency model approach as moderating. Populations was college graduates who worked as lecturers of private higher education in East Java. Samples were selected by using the random sampling method. Hypotheses were analyzed and tested by using the MRA analysis. The result of the study showed that professional commitment moderating lecturer’s performance to graduate’s competency. Thus, more higher lecturer’s commitment to their profession, more increase graduate’s competency.
