      Abstract

The increasing of pulp and paper industrial growth in indonesia has brought impact to increasing of waste problems. Solid waste from paper industry is including to the hazardoust waste list because it’s containing heavy metal, that are Pb and Cu. The utilization of solid waste from paper industry with solidification technique proper to be tried for minimization of environment problem. The mixture feedstock in the form of solid waste and coconut husk. The comparison of composition of solid waste and coconut husk is 100%:0%, 95%:5%, 90%:10%, 85%:15% and 80%:20%. The main material mixed with bonding agents, cement or wood adhesive counted ¼, ½ , and ¾ from mixture weight. After that the mixture shaped in and press with dividing valve 20 kg/cm2, then the physical test to know the best board quality according to standart SNI 1996. The result of experiment showed that the best partition board is obatained from the composition of 80% solid waste, 20% coconut husk and ¾ of wood adhesive. At this composition, board has low thick expansion and high flexibility comes up to SNI 1996. Besides at that, the solidification energy in this composition have been able to immobilization of metal Pb in board equal to 99,4% and Cu 98,28% , so it is still under the standard PP No.85 /1999.
